Being that the sun is much harsher in Florida than other states, shingles tend to get worn out faster down here. Accordingly, the lifespan of a shingle roof would be closer to 20 years instead of 25. Other roofing materials such as slate or concrete tile are built to last much longer. However, they are more expensive.  

Water is Leaking Into Your Home
